Since then, she has appeared in numerous pink films, as well as independent films, direct-to-video films, and television dramas. In 2007, she left the theater company and changed her name to Hotaru. She made her directorial debut with the film Kisushite (Kiss Me), released at K's cinema in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
