He appeared in notable films of the 1960s such as La Belle vie, Is Paris Burning? and Ho!, though it was on television that he established himself most enduringly. He took part in numerous police and historical series, including Les Cinq Dernières Minutes, Maigret, Les Rois maudits, Les Compagnons de Baal, as well as the historical drama Mazarin in 1978.
