Among her best-known films are Nazarín (1959), Días de otoño (1962), La Choca (1974), and La víspera (1982). For her performance in La Choca, she received the Ariel Award for Best Actress in 1975. Throughout her career, she received numerous honors for her work and was awarded the Ariel de Oro in 2018 for her contribution to Mexican cinema.
