On March 31, 2020, she announced her joining of Ebisu★Muscats on "Ebisu★Muscats Midnight Sports Day" (AbemaTV). In May of the same year, Yamagishi's video "A Beautiful Older Sister Will Make You Cum Until Your Dick Goes Crazy: A Seed-Squeezing Men's Esthetician" by PREMIUM studio won first place for two consecutive weeks on the FANZA Video Floor Weekly Ranking, and ranked 9th in sales in the first half of 2020 adult video ranking by actress. In December of the same year, she was ranked 31st in the reader's vote for "FLASH 2020 Best 100 Most Active Sexy Actresses" announced by the weekly photo magazine FLASH.

On June 17, 2021, she won the Newcomer Actress Award and the Momokuma Newcomer Actress Award at the Pink Film Best Ten 2020. In August of the same year, she was ranked 69th in the reader's vote for "FLASH 2021 Sexy Actress Ranking Selected by 300 Readers" announced by the weekly photo magazine FLASH.

On January 1, 2022, she and AV actress Akari Mitani launched the YouTube channel "Yamagishi and Mitani" as a unit called "Gishtani". In May of the same year, she started a serial column in " Weekly Asahi Entertainment " titled "Gishitani's Climax Y Story Saddle Talk". In March of the same year, she became the campaign girl for FANZA's "Spring Pants Festival 2022". In July of the same year, she appeared in her first co-starring work with actress Ito Maiyuki as part of a collaboration to commemorate Kawaii*'s 15th anniversary. The workd was the manufacturer's best-selling product in 2022. On August 13th of the same year, she graduated from Ebisu Muscats at the "2nd Generation Ebisu Muscats Midsummer Graduation Ceremony" (effectively disbanded as all members graduated).

She ranked 45th in Asahi Geino's "2023 Active AV Actress SEXY General Election" announced in May 2023. On May 15th of the same year, upon turning 30 and wanting to try a new environment, she announced her transfer to LiStar Pro, an agency. With this change, she changed her stage name to Ayaka Yamagishi. When changing her name, she thought that the surname Yamagishi would have a strong image among people who were not fans, so she decided to keep Yamagishi in her new stage name. As for her given name, from the two options that were ultimately left, Ayaka and Ayame, she wanted to keep the character "hana" (flower) in her name, so Ayaka was chosen. And so, here new stage name was decided as Ayaka Yamagishi. In the FANZA Rental Floor Ranking for the week of October 23 of the same year, "Father-in-law, if you hold me that tightly...
