Patrick is a 45-year-old factory worker who still lives with his single mother. When he discovers that his estranged father is alive and living on Bonaire, he impulsively travels to the island to meet him. Shortly after his arrival, his father dies, leaving Patrick an unexpected inheritance: a struggling seaside resort. Suddenly far from the only life he has ever known, Patrick must navigate island culture, financial troubles, and his own self-doubt as he learns to take responsibility — not only for the resort, but for himself...
