A Vow in Ashes

In Dijon, a stone owl is said to grant wishes to those who touch it with their left hand while turning their back on a nearby salamander. Months after his sister’s suicide, a broken man comes to make a wish. Frustrated by the justice system’s failure to hold one of those responsible accountable, he decides to take matters into his own hands. He lures the man into his taxi and drives him to a remote landscape dominated by a smoking power plant.
