Pequena Travessa

Pequena Travessa is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from November 4, 2002, to April 15, 2003. It is an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Mi pequeña traviesa, based on the original Argentine story Me llaman Gorrión by Abel Santa Cruz. Adapted by Rogério Garcia, with collaboration from Ecila Pedroso and Simoni Boer, the telenovela stars Bianca Rinaldi and Rodrigo Veronese.

The story follows Júlia, a determined young woman who is forced to put aside her dream of attending college after her father is left paralyzed in an accident. Disguising herself as a boy to find work and support her family, she secretly sleeps inside a department store because she cannot afford a place to live. There she meets Alberto, the wealthy heir to the business, and the two fall in love while facing misunderstandings, family conflicts, social differences, and the schemes of those determined to keep them apart.
